Laminate Glass is multiple layers of glass with an interlayer of plastic in between. The interlayer of plastic keeps the glass together in the event of breakage, just like a windshield. It is available in a variety of thicknesses and can be sanded or polished.

TEMPERED GLASS IS USED IN DOORS & STOREFRONTS. TABLETOPS AND SHELVES CAN ALSO BE TEMPERED
Tempered Glass is heat treated plate glass that is run through a special tempering oven. It is extremely strong and when it breaks it breaks into very small pieces similar to the door glass of an automobile. Once glass is tempered it CANNOT be cut.
Seamed, polished and beveled edges are available.
It is available in a variety of thicknesses and tints.

WIRE GLASS IS GENERALLY USED IN DOORS AND WINDOWS THAT MUST MEET FIRE SAFETY REGULATIONS
WIRE GLASS resists the heat for a longer amount of time than other versions of safety glass.
It is available in both clear and hammered.
Hammered wire glass has a frost to it and the surface has a texture . It is not smooth like clear wire glass.
The wires in clear wire glass usually follow a square pattern (pictured) while the wires in hammered usually follow a diamond pattern.
